Blessed is the Day when Christ was born: As-salamu AAalayya yawma wulidtu

Church of Nativity, Jerusalem, 22th December 2011
Church of Nativity, Bethlehem, Jerusalem

Wa as-salamu AAalayya yawma wulidtu,
wa yawma amootu,
wa yawma obAAathu hayyan.

"Peace is on me the day I was born,
the day that I die,
and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!

- from the Blessed sayings of Isa ibn Maryam (Jesus, son of Mary),
The Holy Quran, Chapter of Mary, 19:33

Greetings of a Blessed Christmas to you all. Merry, Merry Christmas.

May the Remembrance of the Day of Birth of Christ be a blessed occasion to give new life to the true Teaching and Ideals of Christ who was a Word, a Command of God and Spirit from God, the Most High. May this occasion be an occasion of contemplating on all that brings everlasting Peace and an occasion to let go off everything that is false and perishing. May we remember Jesus as the connection between three streams of Abrahamic lineage, namely: the great Jewish tradition of Masculine principle, the noble Christian tradition of Feminine principle and the balanced Islamic tradition, a marriage of Masculine and Feminine principle bidding to the Siratal Mustaqim, the Golden Path.

We send our greetings of peace to Isa Messiah, the great Archetype of Saintly Souls and we also send our greetings to Mother Maryam, the Noble Mother who was an embodiment of perfect surrender and who is honored above all women who ever walked on this earth. We invoke Divine peace to the Holy Mother and her unique Child. May we be accepted among those whose greetings and invocation of holy benediction reach them both and who are blessed with a return greetings by them. Amen. al-Fatiha!

Allahumma salli wa sallim wa barik ala Sayyedina Isa, wa Sayyeda Maryam, wa Sahabi al-akram.

O Allah bestow Your blessings, peace and grace to Master Jesus and Lady Mary and their noble companions.

Turn to God: Obeying Christ's first call

Those who are familiar with the Injil or Gospel knows that when Christ first began his mission, his first call was, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near." (Matthew 3:2) When Gospel was written in Greek and later translated (and mistranslated) many words changed due to limitations of the later language. The word that we know as "Repent" if we trace back to original Greek means "To Turn to God" which refers to a call for re-orientation to God. In Islamic Spirituality this is known as "Tawba" which means the same, "Turning to God."

May on this occasion when the world come to remember the matchless personality and peerless soul of Christ, may we stop and try to act on that first calling of Christ, which re-orient ourselves, our intention, our action, our mission, our day to day living to God, the Beloved, the Lord, the Creator - the Giver of Life and Death and Who is Ever So Tender and Forgiving to those who turn to Him.

Here is an invocation which is called the Best of Invocation for Turning to God, Sayyid al-Istighfar which is a prayer of heart with the intention of repentance, seeking divine forgiveness and turning to God.

Successor of Christ in the Mission of Divine Messengership, Muhammad Mustafa declared, "the most superior request for forgiveness is to say:

Allaahumma anta Rabbee
Laa ilaaha illaa Ant.
Anta khalaqtanee wa ana 'abduka
wa ana 'alaa 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastata't.

A'oozu bika min sharri ma sana't.
Aboo'u laka bi ni'matika alayya
wa aboo'u laka bi zanbee.

Faghfir lee. Fa innahoo laa yaghfiruz-zunooba illaa ant.
(see Sayyid al-Istighfar in Arabic script)

"O God, You are my Lord.
There is no god but You.
You created me and I am Your servant,
following your covenant and promise to you as much as I can.

I seek refuge in You from the wrongs that I have committed.
Before You I acknowledge Your blessings bestowed upon me
and I confess my sins to You.

So forgive me, for surely no one can forgive sins except You."

The Prophet (s) then added, 'anyone who says this during the day, firmly believing in it, and dies before the evening; or says it in the evening, firmly believing in it, and dies before the following morning, will be among the people of Paradise (ahlul Jannat).' [Sacred Tradition of Islam, Sahih al-Bukhari, vol 8, pp212-3, no 318]

May Christ be Your Inspiration Today, Tomorrow and Beyond

Below is a roundup of past posts on blessed Christ as published at Technology of the Heart. Feel free to share them in your social network / share them in your writings. Wish you a blessed time of Christmas!

The house of Jesus was the banquet
of the followers of the heart
Oh, the suffering one! Don’t quit his door.
From all sides people gathered around his house
Some were blind, some lame, and some insane.
Each morning they went to his door
So that their defects could be healed by Jesus’ Breath

Jesus, that man of the good path, would say his prayers
And would come out, seeing many groups of sick and weak people
Sitting and waiting at his door of hope.
Jesus would say: Oh, the stricken ones!
God has granted your needs and cures.

The people would then walk, with no pain and trouble,
Toward the blessings and mercy of the Divine.
Like the camel whose chains were lifted from their feet
The people would walk freely and joyfully toward home.
They all were cured by the prayers of Jesus.

And now, you, my friend!
and now you!

Have you examined your own defects?
Have you found a healthy state of being
In the presence of the masters of the good path?
Has your lame walking on the spiritual path been cured?
Has your soul been free from the sufferings and sorrows of this world?

In the fire of the Divine love, behold
I saw a whole universe
Each particle there possessed Jesus’ Breath.

Hu, Hu, Hu!
