Spiritual Message of the Occupy Movement | Driving out the Money Changers, Once Again

Many of us are perhaps familiar with the following passage of the Bible known as Cleansing of the Temple from the life of Jesus Christ, peace be upon him. In this Christ shows his jalali or fierce face in not only speaking out intensely but most pro-actively acting against corruption and injustice.

Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’

This very episode still carries echo for our time, specially when the Bank Cartels, the Corporates, the Lobbyist are similarly corrupting and cheating people all across the globe.

The Occupy Movement across the globe is a direct manifestation as a voice against financial corruption, social injustice, corporate greed and gross violation of justice in societies. The major forces behind the Occupy Movement are led by Anonymous, Adbuster and AmpedStatus (the 99%). They are a collective voice to speak against the gross injustice which is behind the global recession, meltdown of economies and economic disaster that is sweeping USA, Europe and rest of the world. Its noteworthy that the movement started in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia back in July 30, 2011.

A reading of the Manifesto of The 99% will make it clear who are the modern day equivalent of the Money Changers at the Jerusalem Temple whom Christ drove out.

"We are a decentralized non-violent resistance movement, which seeks to restore the rule of law and fight back against the organized criminal class. One-tenth of one percent of the population has consolidated wealth in unprecedented fashion and launched an all-out economic war against 99.9% of the population. We are not affiliated with either wing of the two-party oligarchy. We seek an end to the corrupted two-party system by ending the campaign finance and lobbying racket.

Above all, we aim to break up the global banking cartel centered at the Federal Reserve, International Monetary Fund, Bank of International Settlements and World Bank. We demand that the primary dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy, effective immediately. As a first sign of good faith, we demand Ben S. Bernanke step down as Federal Reserve chairman. Until our demands are met and a rule of law is restored, we will engage in a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience."

In a message broadcast by Anonymous, this is what they had to say:

"Federal Reserve's role in the corrupt and dysfunctional systems of financial malfeasance that caused the global depression and discuss alternative systems to serve the American people. This is a class action lawsuit against the private Federal Reserve Bank and it's shareholders. It falls under the Rackerteer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act of 1970 for criminals acts of Fraud, Usury, Conspiracy to commit Grand Larceny and Theft by Deception. and for systematically looting the Treasury of the United States of America for (a total that has yet to be determined).

For nearly 100 years, the Federal Reserve Bank has debased and debauched our currency by illegally authorizing an ODIOUS DEBT to be encumbered by our citizens without their knowledge, or in any way for their collective benefit.

The Fed, allowed Banks to defraud the American Public, so as to leave them living like refugees in their own land.

If you want to understand the root cause of global recession that is causing hundreds and thousands of people to become homeless, seniors to be without medical support, great suffering to billions of hard working honest people, the cutting of social welfare in the name of austerity - you have to understand that this is all man made and reasons behind this crisis are none other than a system which is designed to loot the poor, oppress common people to bail out the rich bankers to pay their bonuses, to keep money and power in the hand of 1% at the cost of suffering to the 99%. Morally speaking, the root cause of such crisis is the greed.

The Global Banking Cartel is the modern day equivalent of money changer in the Jerusalem Temple that Christ so forcefully had to drive out. Lets re-examine the incident from the life of Jesus as shared in the beginning of this post and re-contextualize it for our time.

The symbolism so nakedly mock at us!

The symbolism of Cleaning of the Temple episode from the life of Christ:

The Money Changers = The greedy, unethical corporations, their partners, the bankers, the corrupt politicians, lobbyist and advisers.

Table of the Moneychangers = The Global Banking Cartel such International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, the Stock Markets manipulated by Corporate Machines, Wall Street.

The Seats = Seat of the Corporation heads, Government advisory places by ex-corporates, Head of Global Banking System, the new mafia of corporate crimes.

Selling of Doves = Support of ever expanding military budget, advocacy of unnecessary wars and aggression to keep feeding the industrial military complex, thus selling "peace" at the price of blood.

Den of Thieves = Making the system into exactly that by bailing out the banks which steals money from the poor, tax honest, hard working people to pay bonus to greedy bankers. Bank-robbers no longer robs bank, its the Banks who now a days robs the people which they claim to serve.

These new Money Changers are responsible for making people's lives into merchandise, sometime deny health care to the poor, sometime making the future bleak for students who are buried under never ending debts, making people go bankrupt and homeless overnight.

Many have been saying, specially the talking heads at the corporate controlled TV channels and radios, "what these Occupier really demands?" They either know it and pretending they don't know or they are too dumb to realize. But the truth of the matter is, the Occupiers are demanding that the Temple be clean from the Money Changers.

In an article titled "Rebels and Messiahs: 10 Spiritual Ancestors for Occupy Wall Street" Richard Eskow writes:

We don't want to offend anyone here, but consider: While theologians may debate his essential nature, historians have accepted him as historical reality since Josephus described his activities in "The Jewish War" around the years 67 or 70 AD. Christians call him the Son of God. Muslims consider him a prophet second only to Muhammad. Jews consider him a wise teacher.

But you could also call Jesus a 99-Percenter. He rejected the political and theocratic rulers of his time. "That which you do to the least of these," he said, "you do to Me." He also said "it's easier for a camel to pass through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter Heaven." And remember, he overturned the money changers' tables outside the Great Synagogue.

It was more aggressive than OWS, whose demonstrations have only seen vandalism when outside anarchist elements come in. But the expelling of the moneylenders was certainly in the OWS spirit.

It might even have been called "Occupy the Temple."

Just like that day at the Temple of Jerusalem showing his stern face that stops at nothing for justice, today the face of every occupier activists has joined that role. If we had the eyes we could see Christ marching ahead of every occupy movement in every city.

In Gospel of Luke, quoting from Isaiah we read and realize the root yearning that has also given birth to the Occupy Movement. "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives .. and to let the oppressed go free..."

Can you see Christ ahead of every Occupy Movement, all around the world? Or his Message? anyone?!?

A true spiritual person, a true believer must be compassionate and merciful but at the same time should also be stern in the face of injustice and oppression, just as Christ was in the Temple. It is the mark of a wise person to know exactly when to be stern and when to be compassionate, when to be uncompromising in justice and when to be tender in love. When an indifference takes over and make us impotent, that is an excuse for more injustice and more taking over by those who only knows greed at the expense of every value.

Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the blame of a critic. If you realize this, then I hope you will join to support of the Occupying movement in the way you that you can because it is not an isolated political or social movement, but it encompass everything to what it means to Occupy this Earth peacefully, and to live in harmony with other members of this one family of humanity. I hope that you're following the Occupy Movement. And I hope that you're supporting it, if not physically but with your heart is supporting the Occupy Movement. Let the corporate controlled media not apply their trick of "out of sight, out of mind", by censoring out the real coverage of Occupy Movement.

From spiritual consciousness point of view, its important that more and more human being engage with this movement even in the level of awareness, knowing and following it in their heart. Illuminating personalities like Jesus Christ not only taught that we imitate their actions to reach out to the less fortunate ones in society; they also taught us that when we reject those who are "thirsting for justice" we are rejecting the messengers of peace and justice.

One of the major reason why current capitalist system is melting down is because it is heavily dependent upon usury or interest which is prohibited in religious law, both in Judeo-Christian and Islam as well. One of the most vicious tool that these system employ is Usury (Riba) which is forbidden both in the Old Testament Law as well as in the Final Testament (Quran). Usury allows the rich to be even richer while they take all the advantages and all risks are placed upon the common people. Because of ignoring the warning of Divine Prohibition, the world is hijacked by the comrades of the archetype deceiver of mankind.

The toxic debt that incur through usury and interest is something which is a modern way of enslaving people into the dunya more and more. Such usury is forbidden in religious law for a number of reason. For example: The taking of interest is inimical to a stable economy, interest causes unemployment, inflation, and environmental destruction, Interest moves money from the poor to the rich. To understand how interest dependent finance system is deeply flawed, I recommend you read / listen to scholar Nassim Taleb. Let's be awake and aware of the "problem, reaction, solution" strategy that is so often craftily implemented by the New World Order advocates - of which the Global Banking Cartel is a key player - as they move ahead with their devious and evil agenda to further enslave us financially. Let's not permit them to co-opt, infiltrate, sabotage, the current global awakening.

Let's keep it focused on the design flaw of usury and how this malfunction of our orthodox, economic system of debt money must be abolished forever so that once again all debtors can experience "Life Without Usury." (credit)

There is no Peace without Justice.
There is no Justice without Mercy.
There is no Mercy without Love.
And there is no Love without Freedom.

Justice and Mercy are attributes of God. They are eternal principles.

Increasingly we are creating society that is becoming void of justice, be it social justice, human rights, inequality of people, excessive waste by the rich and wealthy. And justice is forsaken when we lose our mercy for the less fortunate ones. As a result we are creating a merciless society.

We can not hope to achieve peace without establishing justice and economic justice is one of the major priority in our time. Without achieving economic justice, without abolishing the deeply corrupt global banking cartel (modern day equivalent of money changers) and without re-creating a financial system free of usury (riba) we can not hope to achieve goodness in society. And for that we need to turn to the wisdom of the Master of Peace, Master of Mercy and Master of Love, Otherwise we will continue to spiral from one crisis into the next.

With true, deep, sacred love, fueling everything that we are and everything that we do, this movement will spread like wildfire and bring the whole world into a whole new level of enthusiasm and empowerment.

What you can do:

* Follow the development of Occupy Movement, in your locality and internationally. Avoid regular media, they are source of misinformation, rather follow alternative media.

* Simply knowing about it, not forgetting that its happening, simply keeping your consciousness around it provides a powerful affirmation to it. In order to counter balance this, the corporate controller media is doing a black-out simply for the fact that they know "out of sight, out of mind" which we must not let happen. Follow this movement with you mind, that's the least you can do. Participate in heart if you cant participate with your body.

* Spread this article to your social media by sharing with the Occupier in the street, let them know that they have taken up the important and holy role of driving out "the Money Changers", let them know that they are the embodiment of Christ consciousness against corruption and injustice, let them know that the hope of humanity is with them.
