Empowerment of Our Soul | Towards Becoming Jesus and Mary

The angels said, ‘Mary, God gives you the good news of a Word / Command from Him, whose name will be Yeshua, son of Mary, the Messiah, who will be held in honour in this world and the next, who will be one of those nearest to God. - The Qur'an 3:45


Metaphysically speaking, Yeshua / Isa / Jesus is Pure Soul in Adamic or human form. Becoming like Jesus means to become Soulful, to orient towards our Original Nature which is Spiritual. It is reorienting to the truth that we are first spiritual being having a physical experience.

When God the Most High breathed of His Ruh or Soul into Adam 'alaihi al-salaam, God conferred on human beings a great gift not shared with or by anyone else. This gift is understood as the Most Sacred Trust or Amanah.

Now our gross nature of the physical world overwhelms our consciousness and we slowly forget our original nature which is spiritual. This is common more or less to all human beings no matter what culture or faith they belong to. With our increasingly materialistic tendency we are moving further away from our realities of our Soul. We are mostly concerned with our bodily need and our soul is almost forgotten, starved to death, undernourished.

Thus to become like Jesus is turning towards our original spiritual reality and making the Soul as sole reality.


QUESTION:

How do we enrich our Soul so that we may become like Jesus (or Mary) who is understood, spiritually speaking, as the Final Adamic Evolution?


ANSWER:

The answer is based on the teachings of Imamuddin Toaha bin Habeeb, whom I consider a Teacher of mine in the Way, may Allah preserve him and increase barakah in his life. And the answers are grounded to very practical level, which if people implement in their personal level, it can bring great changes in social level and free the souls from being oppressed. We oppress our soul (zalamtu nafsi) by disobeying the Divine Command which causes our soul to be further suppressed and loses its sole role in our life.

The teaching says that in order to enrich and empower our soul, we must become pure or remain chaste in the following five things.

1. CHASTITY OF MIND AND HEART

Chastity of mind and heart can be understood from the saying of Jesus when he replied to the question when asked "which is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus answered, "The Lord our God, The Lord is One; you shall love / adore the Lord, your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind".

Never to compromise the Oneness of God is the preservation of chastity of mind and heart. Blasphemy / Shirk in Arabic is the defilement against this chastity of the mind and heart. In many cultures in the name of religion, various ideas crept into to destroy the Oneness of God. Chastity of Mind and Heart is to acknowledge and declare that the Lord God is One / La ilaha illaAllah / Huwa Allahu Ahad (in Arabic) / YHVH 'eloheinu, YHVH 'eḥad (in Hebrew) / in Hindu Vedas and Upanishad declares “He is One and one remains alone; without a second (Ekam evadvitiyam).

To maintain the chastity of mind and heart, one must learn to appreciate and embrace beauty of diversity but shun division - be it in humanity which is one family, or Divine Religion. Racism, agenda of superiority or sectarianism are all that violates the sanctity of mind and heart and poisons it.

2. CHASTITY OF BODY

Chastity of body is as the point suggest. It is to preserving the boundaries of Divine Commandment when it comes to preserving bodily chastity or purity as it applies when outside marriage and within marriage.

Body should not be rented i.e. not to be prostitutionalize or abuse its sexual aspects. Modesty is what was way of every Prophet, Messenger and illuminated beings guided by God including Mother Mary or Jesus Christ. Modesty and Chastity goes hand in hand.

"But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart." - says Jesus in Matthew 5:28

“A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God." - Deuteronomy 22:5

3. CHASTITY OF HOUSE

On earth, which in reality is the Kingdom of God as Jesus teaches us to pray, "Thy Kingdom Comes, Thy Will be Done, on Earth as it is in Heaven." Here on earth, as we acknowledge that this is the reflection of the Kingdom of God as it is in the Heaven, we must understand that on earth we have RESIDENCY only not TENANCY.

But through the vile practice of tenancy, we make simple life into complex reality including we seriously oppress human life on earth. If you look at modern city and asks what is the single mechanism that is responsible for the real estate price to rise and rents go absurd, it is because of the practice of tenancy. If we ban everyone from consuming rent, the price of real estate everywhere will fall to reasonable and all people on earth will and can afford residence of their own.

People don't understand how oppressive the practice of rent is. There can be no tenancy for those who wish to empower their soul. Those who understand the deeper implication of this, can never consume rent, will not give their to rent business.

House primarily has three roles and three roles only: as residence, as place to entertain guest and as place of worship. Whenever tenancy of hotel is introduced, hotel become brothel and humanity loses the beautiful practice of guest and host relationship in their houses. That is the Natural Way, that is the Soulful Way, that is where reflection of the Will of God to be found.

4. CHASTITY OF LAND

Based on the previous point, as there can be NO Tenancy /Rent of House, there should be NO Rent business for land. Whosoever cultivates the land, the right to the land belongs to him or her. This is the natural way. By this practice, wrongful accumulation of wealth is prevented. Yes there can be joint participation of a land where someone invest in the land and others cultivate on it. That is permissible, but purely renting others is the violation of the chastity of the land.

Again, this precious earth is given to us as our home, where we have residency permit. Occupation and colonialization of land is prohibited, no matter in what shape or form or in what excuse they come. When we rent our lands without sharing both profit and loss (which is the basis of mutual agreement of business) we are perpetuating a model of colonialization and oppression.

5. CHASTITY OF MONEY

Finally the greatest misery is introduced through violating the very chastity of money by lending money on usury. In every turn of the history whenever a Prophet, Messenger and Social Revolutionist is sent, they all identified that the worst kind of pervasive oppression that can occur is the practice of usury or lending money on interest.

With so much advancement in our world, still the gap between rich and poor increases is simply because the entire world economy is based on usury. Fiat money has become the instrument where the very money supply is created out of thin air and the concept of money is violated in gross manner.

Why you think Jesus chased the money changers from the temple? Its because they were minting gold coin to exchange with the roman gold coin with image of the ruler on it, which could not be given out as charity since graven image was prohibited. But in the process of changing money, they were ripping off money from the poor and helpless which made Jesus so angry.

So the entire banking system and other so called modern monetary system which violates the chastity of money (which in the first place should have intrinsic value) is must be understood and avoided at all cost in all sort of involvement with money. What and whom do you think Jesus would turn over table and chase out of their fraudulent business if Jesus was here? He would certainly chase out the bankers and financial con-mans who are robbing people in broad daylight.

Wasting of money in any mechanism including production of wasteful stuff, to hoard money or essential materials to take advantage of scarcity are all mechanism of oppression. Since money is what makes the world go around and can cause the greatest suffering on the gross level, the chastity of money is of vital importance. Poverty created in the world are all due to mismanagement of economic system and violating the chastity of money.



The above five points must be maintained at least before the enrichment and empowerment of soul can happen by the Grace of God. Lets remind ourselves that there can be no peace without justice and no justice without mercy, there can be no mercy without love and there can be no love without freedom.

Soul, the default condition of which is peace and bliss - how can we achieve it if we are constantly immersed in injustice which is devoid of mercy and compassion? The above five elements are essential towards achieving freedom of the soul.
