Tawhid: The One in the Many: A Documentary on the Compassion, Ethics and Wisdom of Islam - is a beautiful film made by Dr. Tariq M. Quadir as a labor of love between 1998-2000. The Arabic word Tawhid is an Islamic term meaning Unity, namely Divine Unity or Oneness - the One Reality. Tawhid is the quintessential knowledge of the Path, the beginning of beginning for seekers of Truth which give witness to the truth that Divine Reality is One, Eternal and without association.
The film portrays some aspects of Islam as a Way of Life, what it is really about and how communities around the world, including in America - how Islam is lived by its followers. It touches some important subjects and also educates people about real practices of Islam. This is a powerful documentary having real capabilities to dissolve a lot of misconceptions and disinformation, false myth and biased views about Islam. A must see for Non-Muslims, specially those who lives in the West, who are constantly bombarded with distorted image of Islam and Muslims in the corporate controlled corrupt mainstream media. This film also has the capacity to stir up faith for those who think they already know about Islam.
The documentary not only unveils the inner dimensions of Islam but also features and interviews some of the most illuminating people of Islam in the west of contemporary time who share their knowledge and wisdom throughout.
