Realities of Grand Deception of the Present Life

In the Name of the Supreme Being, the Truth Absolute:
For Thine is the Kingdom,
         all Power, and all Glory,
                     for ever and ever.

Be on guard against the world. Prepare yourselves with great strength.
- Jesus Christ, Gospel of Thomas

Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children ... the life of this world is only a deceiving enjoyment. (Final Testament, 57:20)

Verily, the Promise of God is true (regarding the Kingdom of Hereafter, akhirah), let not then this present life deceive you, nor let the arch-deceiver (Satan) deceive you about God. (31:33)

Whoever has come to know the world has discovered a carcass, and whoever has discovered a carcass, for that person the world is not worthy. If you do not fast from the world, you will not find God's Kingdom. - Jesus, Gospel of Thomas

You adulterers and adulteresses, know you not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (Gospel of James, the spiritual successor of Jesus)

He who loves his dunya (present life) hurts his akhirah (final life), and he who loves his akhirah hurts his dunya. Therefore you should give preference to the one that lasts over the one that is to perish. (Saying of Holy Prophet, in Hakim Mustadrak)

The Final Prophet said, “There will come a time for my community when they will love five things and forget five things – they will love this life (dunya) and forget the life to come (akhirah); they will love property and forget the grave; they will love wealth and forget the [Day of] Judgement; they will love their children and forget the truth; and they will love themselves and forget Allah. They have nothing to do with me and I have nothing to do with them.”

The Grand Deception in the world and in the present life is the denial of the realities related of our origin and hence the final destiny of human soul. Human beings deny or cover up the truth of their final realities because they are veiled from the realities of their very origin.

When his disciples asked Jesus, "Tell us, how will our end come?" he replied, as recorded in the Gospel of Thomas, "You see, the end will be where the beginning is."

The nature of the Grand Deception in the world and present life is inter-woven, consisting of the covering up of a number of truth regarding our realities and the destiny of our soul. These truths are not property of one religious / spiritual traditions or another, but they are universal, found in every age, transmitted by every illuminated messenger - but have been corrupted, lost in the black-hole of time or down played by corrupt religious authorities or our forgetfulness of who we are - have made us forget about them. The significance of Christ's saying, "if you do not fast from the world, you will not find the Kingdom" is this, to consume and to be consumed by the passing enjoyments of the present world wipe out the nur (light) of the heart, making it blind and hence the realities of the Kingdom / after-life remains incomprehensible, its signs unseen. And about how majority of people of the world are intoxicated by innumerable distractions of the present world is conveyed by the master of gnosis, Jesus Christ in the following gnostic statement of his:

I took my stand in the midst of the world, and in flesh I appeared to them. I found them all drunk, and I did not find any of them thirsty. My soul ached for the children of humanity, because they are blind in their hearts and do not see, for they came into the world empty, and they also seek to depart from the world empty.

... and the worldly life had deluded them, and on the Day of Resurrection they will bear witness against themselves that they covered up truth. (6:130)

The gnosis that is the cure against the blindness of the heart, the slavery to the lower world - is to know, recognize and internalize the truths concerning the realities of our origin, our exile in the world, our return and the kingdom that awaits us. Knowing the truth is what makes man free from the fetters of ignorance and the world. May God grant us vision in our heart so that we may purify ourselves by the light of truth without erring and God alone guides and purifies.

.. inasmuch as man is bound to know God, he must first know himself, in order that by rightly perceiving his own temporality he may recognize the eternity of god, and may learn the everlastingness of God through his own perishable-ness. - Kashf al-Mahjub, Data Ganj Bakhsh 

As I mentioned earlier that the Grand Deception is inter-woven and consist of a number of deceptions / cover up of realities about who man is and the realities that awaits him and these realities are connected in such way that without understanding them each individually, the puzzle remain as illusive as ever. The model that is presented here is a "reality theory of everything" for the Divine Kingdom that perishes not.

The Reality that the World is not Created in Vain

What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us?
- The Final Testament, 23:115

And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who cover up truth. And woe unto those who cover up truth, from the Fire!"  (38:27)

One of the great deception with which the atheistic materialistic thinking suffer is thinking that the creation is without a purpose and there are no Divine Intention in its manifestation. This elegant cosmos,  this miraculous blue planet and all its wonderment above and inside it, the mineral, vegetable and animal kingdom, the marvelous human beings - all that is known and unknown, all that is seen and unseen - this entire creation which glorifies its Creator and Fashioner, is too grand and too precise to be created in vain.

The purpose of creation is many layered and hierarchical, but the greatest of its purpose is that Man may know who he is and in knowing himself he may know his Lord. "I was a Hidden Treasure and I longed to be known - hence I created the Universe" sums up the great longing of the Divine Being who yearned to be known. The knowledge of God is deposited (and veiled) within man, for he is made in Divine Image and is the carrier of the Divine breath, the spirit of God - breathed into him in pre-eternity. Man is created so that he may unveil this sacred knowledge and may honor the sacred trust of life and all that is bestows upon him.

God has created this vast and elegant creation with vast and elegant purpose. God never creates anything in jest or with vain purpose. - Saying of Abdul Qader Jilani

And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth ... that He might test you, which of you is the best in deeds. But if you were to say to them: "You shall indeed be raised up after death," those who disbelieve would be sure to say, "This is nothing but obvious magic." (11:7)

God declares in the Final Testament: And I have not created the human and other beings except that they should worship Me. (51:56)

But to worship / glorify prerequisite that the object of Glorification and Worship be known and recognized.  To know God is to love Him. That is why the present life and the world is offered which like a grand painting, contains signature of the Painter, signs are abundant for those who have intellect and heart to recognize the Creator, and hence to love Him.

And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is over all things competent. Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding- Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire." And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is over all things powerful.(3:189-192)

God has created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving. (67:2)

And the Divine Authority will most certainly try you.. (2:155)

And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the Hour is most surely coming, so turn away (from those who do wrong) with gracious forgiveness. Surely Your Lord is a Sublime Creator, the Ever Knowing. (15:85-86)

That which is on earth we have made but as a glittering show for the earth, in order that We may test them - as to which of them are best in conduct. (18:7)

Do people imagine that they will be left (at ease merely) because they say, "We believe", and won't be tested with trials? But certainly We have tried those before them and so (too shall We test those who are living) and Allah will make known the honest ones and He will make known the liars. Or do they think - those who do evil deeds - that they can outrun Us? How bad is their judgment! (29:2-4)

And We, the Divine Authority created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play. We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are better in deeds, who are obedient and those who are disobedient), but most of them know not. (44:38-39)

Blesses is the man that endures temptation (of the world); for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love Him. (Gospel of James)

All the children of Adam are in exile at the world, in their earthly life and waiting for our appointed time to our real Home, the Garden of Bliss, the original home of our first parent, Adam and Eve. The present world is the test-bed where trials are placed before mankind by God and just as every exam or trial is followed by the phase where result of that exam and trials are let known or declared, so it is that "the Reality that the World is not Created in Vain" is followed by "the Reality of Return". The Reality of Return is our going Home from our exiled state.

The Reality of Return

.. and after a while you will not see me, because I am going to the Father, I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. - Jesus Christ

Inna liLlahi, wa inna ilaihir rajiun. We are God's and unto God is the final journey.

And unto God all matters return (22:76)

Luqman the wise spoke to his son, “O my son! Man is composed of three thirds – a third for Allah, a third for himself and a third for the worms. The third that is for Allah is his soul; the third that is for himself is his actions, and the third that is for the worms is his body.”

And to Allah (belongs) whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth; and to Allah all Commands are returned. (3:109)

And We did not grant to any man before you eternity in earthly life; so as you die - would they live forever? Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned. (21:34-35)

Every soul shall have a taste of death. Then to the Divine you shall be brought back. (29:57)

It is He, Who takes your souls by night (when you are asleep), and has knowledge of all that you have done by day, then he raises (wakes) you up again that a term appointed (your life period) be fulfilled, then in the end unto Him will be your return. Then He will inform you what you used to do. He is the Irresistible, Supreme over His servants, and He sends guardians (angels) over you, until when death approaches one of you, Our Messengers (angel of death) take his soul, and they never neglect their duty. Then they are returned to Allah, their True Master, the Just Lord. Surely, His is the judgment and He is the Swiftest in taking account. (6:60-62)

God declares: In the end, unto Me you all must return .. (3:55)

Verily it is Ever We, the Divine Authority Who give Life and Death; and to Us is the Final Destination. (50:43)

A little enjoyment in this world!- and then, to Us will be their return... (10:70)

It is an universal reality that man must return from where he came from. There is no exception and it was confirmed and reaffirmed by all great messengers, as said Christ: "I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father." (John 16:28) This reality is true for all human soul and the portal through which we pass to the next life, the eternal life is the death, which is certain.

Return to the Divine is a promise from the God and there is no change in the words of promise of God.

To Him is your return all together. [It is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. Indeed, He begins the [process of] creation and then repeats it that He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds, in justice. But those who cover up the truth will have a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment for what they used to deny. (10:4)

This present life is nothing but a dream like state of a sleeping man,

only in death his real realities awaken. - Sacred Tradition, hadith

You cannot escape (Him) - neither in the earth nor in heaven - and beside Allah there is neither protector nor helper. Those who cover up (the Truth) about the Signs of Allah and the meeting with Him are those who have despaired of My Mercy, and theirs will be a painful punishment. (29:22-23)

 

Those who are given access to the mystery of the soul and its journey has given similitude of death with that of sleep. Just as human being goes to sleep and awakens later on, so it with death, except that the reality in which the soul find itself awakened is a reality much severe than the present one, for in that reality, the limited free-will of man is taken away and the authority of the Absolute Ruler, the Judge, the Master of the Day of Return begins.

Certainly you were heedless of it (Return), but now We have removed from you your veil, so today your perception are sharp. (50:22)

'Thy Kingdom comes, Thy will be done' - this is the reality in which absolute Will of the Absolute Authority comes in execution. 'The Reality of Resurrection' which follows is a sub-set of 'The Reality of Return.'

The Reality of Resurrection

Jesus said, "This sky will pass away, and the one above it will pass away."

The Father raises the dead and gives them life. Marvel not at this: for the Hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice. And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of eternal life of bliss; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of life of damnation. - Jesus Christ, John 5

Of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt" (Book of Daniel 12:2)

This world is like a lobby before the Olam HaBa (the World to Come). Prepare yourself in the lobby so that you may enter the banquet hall. (Misnah, Jewish holy text)

For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. And there is nothing buried that will not be raised. (Gospel of Thomas)

It is not possible to explain the details concerning the Resurrection and the Judgment with the help of intellectual deductions, because our reason lacks the premises necessary to lead to a conclusion. It will be a new reality about which the previous Messengers and the Last Prophet has transmitted us sacred knowledge from the unseen.

On that Day the earth will be changed for another earth, and the heavens (as well), and all will come forth to Allah, the One, the Irresistible Compeller! (14:48)

(Those who delude themselves and follow conjecture), they swear by Allah their strongest oaths, that Allah will not raise up him who dies. Yes, (He will raise them up), a promise (binding) upon Him in truth, but most of mankind know not. (16:38)

Man says: "What! When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?"

Does man not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing? So by your Lord! We will most certainly gather them together … (19:66-68)

 

I swear by the Day of Resurrection. And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. Does man think that We, the Divine Authority will not assemble his bones? Yes indeed, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to give the lie to what is before him. He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" So when vision is dazzled, And the moon will be eclipsed, And the sun and the moon are gathered together, On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" No! There is no refuge! To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, eyes, legs) will speak about his deeds]. Even though he were to put up his excuses.  (75:1-15)

Were We fatigued by the first creation? In no way! But they are in doubt about the new creation (resurrection)! (50:15)

Indeed, the Hour (of Resurrection) is coming - no doubt about it - but most of the people do not believe. (40:59) The Knowledge of the Hour is with only with Allah. (41:47)

O humanity, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may manifest (My Power) to you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind. (like how dead and barren land is brought alive, thus will be the Resurrection). (22:5)

Very truly I tell you, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again (resurrected) from above. Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit from Above (God) gives birth to spirit ... I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? (Jesus Christ, John 3)

He brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living. And He revives the earth after its death. And thus shall you be brought out (resurrected).  (30:19)

And the Trumpet shall be blown, and all shall rush from their graves to their Lord. They shall say, "Woe upon us! Who has raised us from our resting place? This is what was promised by the Merciful, and the messengers spoke the truth!" It is but a single Shout, and lo! All are brought forth before Us. And Today no soul shall be wronged in the least, nor shall it be repaid except for what you used to do. (36:51-54)

Does not the human being see that We, the Divine Authority, created him from a drop of seed - and yet he openly argues? And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will bring these bones to life when they have become dust?" Say: "He Who will bring them (back) to life is the One Who gave them life in the first place. And He has Knowledge of all creation. It is He Who makes for you from the green tree - fire - and then from it you kindle (your fires). Is He Who created the heavens and the earth not able to create the like of them? Undoubtedly! And He alone is the All-Knowing Creator. For surely His Commands, when He intends anything, is to say, "Be", and it is." So Glory to Him in Whose Hand is the Dominion over all things, and to Him you shall be brought back. (36:77-83)

Say: "To whom does everything in the heavens and earth belong?" Say: "To God." He has made mercy incumbent upon Himself. He will gather you to the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Those who have lost their own souls, they will not believe. (6:12)

That Day We shall fold up the heaven like folding up the pages of books. As We began the first creation so shall We bring it forth again. It is a promise (that is binding) upon Us. Truly We shall fulfill it. (21:104)

Don't they see how Allah beings creation and then recreates it? Surely that is easy for Allah. Travel the earth and see how He began the creation; then Allah brings into being the final creation. Surely Allah has power over all things. (29:20)

And whoever turns away from My remembrance truly shall have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection - blind. He will say, "My Lord! Why have you gathered me blind when (in my former life) I could see?" He will say, "Just so did Our Signs came to you and just so you were oblivious and just so you are in this day consigned to oblivion." And just so do We recompense whoever recklessly squanders (life, the sacred trust) and does not believe in the Sign of his Lord. And truly the chastisement of the Final World will be more severe and enduring." (20:124-127)

The Day when neither your wealth nor sons will profit (anyone) except the one who brings to Allah a heart that is pure. And the Paradise will be brought near for the God-conscious who ward off evil. And the Blazing Fire will be brought near for the misguided. (26:88-81)

Your creation and your resurrection (from the dead) are only like (that of) a single soul. Surely Allah is Hearing, Seeing. (31:28) 

They ask you of the Hour and when it shall come to pass. Why? What do you have to relate about it? To your Lord is (the Hidden Knowledge of) its finality. Truly you are but a warner to the one who is in awe of it. On the Day when they see it, it will seem (to them) as if they spent but evening (in this world) or a morn. (79:42-46)

No one knows about that Appointed Day or Hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the son, but only the Father. (Jesus, Matthew, Mark)

People ask you (O Messenger of God) about the Hour. Say, "The Knowledge of it is only with Allah. What shall make you grasp it? It may be (that even now) the Hour is near." (33:63)

Repent, for the Kingdom is near (approaching). (Matthew 3:2)

Allah, La ilaha illa Hu! (Divine, the Sole Divine, there is no divinity except Hu) He will most certainly gather you together on the Resurrection Day, there is no doubt in it; and who is more true in word than Allah? (4:87)

The Day of Resurrection has other names by which they are named, but its reality remains beyond words because this is a renewed creation, where laws of physics of present physical world shall come to pass and for the new reality we don't have sufficient mental picture or language to compare with. The Day of Resurrection is also called, the Day of Judgment, the Day of Standing before the Lord, the Day of Recompense, the Hour, the Day of Accounting and also the Day of Meeting, since this will be the Hour and Day of Appointed Meeting of humanity with the Creator.

The Appointed Meeting

They have not estimated Allah His Rightful Estimate; Verily, Allah is Powerful, Almighty. (22:74)

You will definitely see your Rabb with your own eyes (Inna satarauna Rabbakum yiana). You will see your Lord on the Day of Resurrection as you see this (full moon) and you will have no difficulty in beholding Him. (Hadith, Bukhari)

Due to lack of sacred knowledge, even those who believe in God or claim to do believe in him do not have the sure knowledge which is transmitted in every age, by every great teacher. Even in our pursuit of Divine Science, due to our egoistic tendency, we only like to receive, hear and take what conforms to our egoic perception, not the whole truth. For if we did, we would surely not accept, like we do, only a part and reject another. One of the open secret transmitted by all masters is the per-appointed time of each individual soul to their the Creator.

He who hope for the meeting with the Lord, let him know that the fixed time appointed by Allah must come, He is the All Hearing, All Knowing. (29:5)

Denial of the Meeting with the Lord is one of the realities of the Grand Deception.

He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning. Such is He, the Knower of all things, hidden and open, the Exalted (in power), the Merciful; He Who has made everything which He has created most good: He began the creation of man with (nothing more than) clay, and made his progeny from a quintessence of the nature of a fluid despised: But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do you give! And they say: "What! when we die, hidden and lost, in the earth, shall we indeed be in a Creation renewed? Nay, they deny the Meeting with their Lord.  (32:5-10)

Who know with certainty that they shall meet their Sustainer and that unto Him they shall return. (2:46)

They indeed are losers who denied their Meeting with Allah, until when the Hour comes upon them all of a sudden they shall cry, "Alas for us that we neglected it!" For they bear upon their backs the burdens (of their rejection) and oh, how evil is that which they bear. And the life of the world is but play and passing delight. And the Final Life is better for those who are conscious of Allah. Will you not use your intelligence? (6:31-32)

Nay! when the earth is made to crumble to pieces,
And your Lord comes and (also) the angels in ranks,
And Hell will be brought near that Day. On that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance (then) avail him? He will say: "Alas! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my life!"
So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,
[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul, Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], Enter thou, then, among My devotees! "And enter you My Paradise!"
(89: 21-30)

He it is Who multiplied you in the earth and to Him you shall be gathered. (67:24)

There is no one in the heavens and the earth who doesn't come to the Merciful as a worshipful slave. Surely He has accounted them all and added up their sum. And all of them will come to Him on the Day of Resurrection completely alone. Truly those who believe and do good, the Merciful will endow with love. (19:93-96)

Do they not think that they will be raised up upon a Mighty Day - a Day when all people shall stand before the Lord of the Multi-universe? (83:4-6)

On that Day they will follow the Caller who does not deviate, and voices will be hushed before the Mercy Full, and you shall hear nothing but a murmur. On that Day no intercession shall avail save for those to whom permission has been granted by the Mercy Full, and whose speech has been accepted. He knows what looms before them and what lies behind them, but they can not encompass it in their (own) knowledge. And on that Day faces shall be humbled before the Living, the Self Subsisting.

(20:108-111)

O Man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, then you shall encounter Him. (84:6)

Our Lord! It is You Who shall gather the people to a Day in which there is no doubt. Truly, Allah will not fail the (appointed) meeting. (3:9)

(The wrong-doers) truly thought that he would never return (to Allah) - Ahh no! Truly His Lord saw all that was within him. (84:14-15)

For the Lord is Righteous, He loves Justice; upright men will see His Face. (Psalm 11:7)

Those who used to cover up the Truth in the world and used to deny the Signs of God, when it was said, "The promise of Allah (of appointed meeting) is true, there is no doubt about the coming of the Hour,' you used to say, "We don't know what the Hour is: we (think this is only your) guess, and so we were not convinced." And the evil consequence of what they did will appear to them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule. It will be said to them, "This Day We forget you, just as you forgot the Meeting of this - your Day. Your place is the Fire and there is no one to help you. (This happened to you) because you took the Signs of Allah to be a joke, and the life of the world deluded you." So on that Day they will neither be removed from the Fire, nor will they be asked to make amends. (45:32-35)

And those who persistently covered up the truth will be driven to Hell in groups until, when they reach it, its gates are opened and its keepers will say, "Did there not come to you messengers from yourselves, reciting to you the verses of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "Yes, but the word of torment has come into effect upon those who cover up the truth) (39:71)

On that Day none shall be questioned concerning their sins, the sinners will be known by their marks and will be seized ... this is the Hell which the sinners rejected... But as for those who were in awe of standing before his Lord, there are two gardens of bliss. (55:39-46)

And the evil consequences of what they earned struck them. And those who have wronged of these [people] will be afflicted by the evil consequences of what they earned; and they will never be able to frustrate (the Divine decree)! (39:51)

God cannot be seen in this world because the blessed vision is preserved for His lovers, the believers, the sincere devotees and those who have attained certainty of faith. And that vision is preserved in the hereafter when the Kingdom comes. Even though the appointment of meeting with the Lord is common lot for all of humanity, the vision will be granted only to those worthy of it, the lovers, the devotees, the doers of good, the self-less ones, the purified ones, those who dies in God - for God and those who die in surrender to God.

O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) God with the care which is due to Him, and do not leave this world, do not die, except as one those who have surrendered (to God) (3:102)

The Reality of Records: Everything is Written

Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you. - Jesus Christ

The Majestic Creator who can record every genetic code, traits, characteristics, shape and color of every specifies in their genes of DNA which are so small that they can not be seen except by power electron microscope, is the same Creator who records every actions of every human being in an unseen cosmic record where everything is written.

Just for an idea, printing out the standard names of the three billion base pairs of haploid genes within a single person would require the number of pages in at least thirteen sets of the Encyclopedia Britannica and the Creator and Fashioner has designed to hide this vast amount of information in the smallest of space conceivable and human knowledge can encompass nothing of His Infinite Wisdom. Part of the grand deception is the denial of accountability of our actions and that denial is enforced by covering up the truth that every action is recorded and known by the Divine Authority. The spiritual truth that everything is recorded is not a latest invention, this is universally transmitted by all previous Messengers of God.

Surely We, the Divine Authority give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a Clear Record. (36:12)

On that Day you shall be exposed - not one of your secrets hidden. (69:18)

On that Day when Allah shall raise them up all together, He shall inform them of what they did. Allah has kept account while they have forgotten. And Allah is Witness to all things. Have you not seen that Allah knows what is in the heaven and in the earth? There is not a conspiracy between three except that He is the fourth of them not between five but He is the sixth - neither fewer than nor more than that, but He with them wherever they may be. Then on the Day of Standing He shall tell them what they did. Truly Allah knows all things. (56:6-7)

And the Records (of deeds) will be placed (open) and you will see the wrong-doers fearful of that which is inscribed on it, and they will say, "Woe to us! What kind of Book is this that leaves out neither the small nor the great, but has enumerated (everything)!" And they will find what they did, present before them, and your Lord will wrong no one. (18:49)

So whoever works righteous deeds and is a believer, his or her effort shall not be covered up, ungratefully. And surely We record it for him. (21:94)

 And to God belongs the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and when the Day of Hour manifests - that day the followers of the false will be lost. And you will see every community kneeling down, every community called to its Book, (and it will be said to them) "This Day you will be paid back for what you used to do (when you were in the world). This Our Book speaks about you by the Truth. Surely We have caused (all) that you did to be recorded." (45:27-29)

And We have fastened every man's deeds to himself, and on the Day of Resurrection, We shall bring out for him a Book which he will find wide open. [It will be said], "Read your record. Sufficient is yourself against you this Day as accountant." (17:13-14)

No way! Truly the record of the wicked is in the Sijjin. And what will make you clear to what is the Sijjin? A Book inscribed. Woe that Day unto the lying deniers - those who deny that there is a Day (when all) debts (come due). No one denies it but every guilty transgressor and when you recite to him Our Signs he says, "Fables of the Ancients." Impossible! Indeed their hearts are corroded by what they have done. No indeed! Truly upon that Day they shall be veiled from their Lord's Mercy. Then truly they shall burn in Hell! Then it shall be said to them, "This is what you denied." No indeed! Truly the Book of the virtuous is in Illiyyun. And what will convey you to you the meaning of Illiyyun? A Book inscribed (with records). Those drawn near witness it. Truly the righteous shall be in bliss on places of rest - gazing. You see in their faces the radiance of bliss. (83:7-22)

 

Reality of Accountability: The Final Balancing of Karma,
Law of Great Causality

Fa 'ayna Tazhabun?
So where are you going? (81:26)

What an intellectual arrogance it is on part of us, human being who thinks that we are here only to eat, shit and procreate and can abuse our free-will in whatsoever fashion without any kind of system of responsibility, without any accountability. We may go on cheating, speaking lies against each other, slander, murder, rape and bombing of innocent beings without any one above us to whom to give answer for!

It is amazing foolishness on part of human beings who readily understand the need of accountability in exercising his affairs in the earth, but when it comes to the tremendous affairs of Divine Governance, he delude himself intellectually that man, who is the representative of God on earth will get away without any accountability. Indeed it is God Who is the Regulator of Affairs of the heaven and the earth and to Him accountability is given in the Kingdom of God.

But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the Day of Judgment for every empty word they have spoken. (Jesus, Matthew 12:36)

It is one of the most serious of deceptions in which we deceive ourselves thinking that when we die, that’s the end of the story. Further part of that deception is the denial of the surely promised meeting with the Lord in which every single soul be held accountable for its precious existence in the world and how he or she has best used what he or she was given access to, be it health, youth, wealth and knowledge. The Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: “The feet of a servant will not move on the Day of Judgment until he has been questioned about four things): his life - how he spent it, his knowledge - how he acted upon it, his wealth - where he earned it and how he spent it, and his body - how he used it.”

The earthly existence is a temporal abode and the actions of every child of Adam is recompensed, both in this world and in the hereafter. The balance doesn’t end here alone. The grand accountability must be meted out.

It is foolish to think otherwise, no matter how much our arrogant intellect may convince us that these are only folklore of the past generations. Whether we live in twentieth century or twenty fifth century, the truth remains the same. Whether someone knows the laws of the land by heart or not, when a law is violated, both the educated and the uneducated of the law face the same consequence. This universe which is sustained upon many physical laws, from the tiniest of sub-atomic particles and their motion to the largest galaxy and milky ways, blackholes. It is utterly foolish to assume that there exists no spiritual laws for the metaphysical, for the spiritual unseen reality. In fact the laws of the apparently unseen spiritual reality are far more grand both in their scope of consequence as well as their effect into the eternity. The point where the laws of the physical world ends, annihilates by the annihilation of the physical world, it is the same point where the laws of metaphysical world dominates. And Divine Accountability, where everything is balanced, every action is recompensed either by Divine grace, Divine forgiveness or the Divine Wrath and Punishment - for God has both Her Merciful Face for those who are grateful and the Face of Wrath for those who persistently covers up the truth.

And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And Sufficient are We as Reckoners. (21:47)

Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do. (16:97)

On that Day every soul shall find whatever it has done of good present before, and what it has done of evil. It will wise that there were between him and it (evil deeds) a great distance. And Allah cautions you against His (Tremendous) Self! And Allah is Most Kind to His worshipers. (3:30)

They shall have (their) portion of what they have earned, and Allah is Swift in Reckoning. (2:202)

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction - that is the law of physical world. In spiritual world the laws extend beyond the physical reality and carries over to the Kingdom where every action in this present world is balanced.

And when the new reality is awakened by the God's Will, when the Kingdom of God comes and unveiled, when the scroll of record are unrolled, and when the heavens are laid bare, and when Hell shall set afire, and when the Paradise shall be brought near. Then shall each soul know what is has prepared (for it's self). (81)

For all there will be degrees (or ranks) according to what they did. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do. (6:132)

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth - that He may recompense those who do evil with [the penalty of] what they have done and recompense those who do good with the best [reward] - those who avoid the truly grave sins an shameful deeds - save for their inadvertent shortcomings surely the Forgiveness of your Lord is vast. He is aware of you from the time He brought you out of the earth and you were hidden in your mother's womb; therefore do not consider yourselves pure. Allah knows well those who guard themselves (for Him). (53:31-32)

... but whosoever surrenders his or her self to God and is a doer of good, shall have his reward with his Lord; and neither shall fear  be upon him nor shall he grieve" (2:111-112)

And no bearer of burdens shall bear another's burdens and that nothing shall be accounted to a person but what he strove for - and that his effort shall be seen, then he shall be paid the full payment and to your Lord is the final ultimate end... and upon Him rests the other existence... so which of the Bounties of your Lord will you dispute? This is a warning from the warning of the old. That which is near draws nearer. None but Allah can disclose it. Do you marvel at these tidings and laugh, rather than weep while you make merry? (53:38-61)

The amount of injustice, wrong-doings, corruption, mass murder, genocide, oppression, man made famine and killing of innocent souls that goes on in this earth, not all of them are balanced out in this present world. The karmic balance carries on to the Spiritual Kingdom.

If Allah were to punish men according to what they deserve. He would not leave on the back of the (earth) a single living creature: but He gives them respite for a stated Term: when their Term expires, then verily, Allah is Ever All-Seeing of His servants.  (35:45)

There! On that Day every person will know (exactly) what (all) he had earned before, and they will be brought back to Allah, their real Guardian, and their invented false deities will vanish from them. (10:30)

For them who have done good is the best [reward] and extra. No darkness will cover their faces, nor humiliation. Those are companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally. But they who have earned [blame for] evil doings - the recompense of an evil deed is its equivalent, and humiliation will cover them. They will have from Allah no protector. Their faces will be covered, as it were, with pieces from the darkness of night. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

(10:26-27)

Whoever comes [at Judgement] with a good deed will have better than it, and they, from the terror of that Day, will be safe. And whoever comes with an evil deed - their faces will be overturned into the Fire, [and it will be said], "Are you recompensed except for what you used to do?" (27:89-90)

Whosoever does righteous good deed it is for (the benefit of) his soul, and whosoever does evil, it is against his, and your Lord is not at all unjust to (His) servants. (41:46)

The reward of the person who performed good deeds and who remembered the Lord, were grateful and obeyed His command is not the same for those who persistently did evil, who covered up the truth and denied his Lord and became ungrateful.

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? Is there any reward for good other than good? (55:59-60)

(On the Day of Judgment) whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. (99)

Whoever comes [on the Day of Judgement] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged. (6:160)

Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [real success]. And what is the (present) life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion. (3:185)

.. as for those who believe and work goodness, We shall bring them into gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they shall abide forever. It is a promise from Allah in Truth, and who is more true than Allah in what he says? (The Paradise is) neither obtained by your wishful thinking nor the wishful thinking of the People of the Scripture (Christian and Jews). Whoever does wrong (no matter what religion they claim to follow) will be repaid for it and will not find any protector or helper besides God. And whoever does wholesome deeds - whether man or woman - and is a believer, shall enter the Paradise, and they will not be wronged so much as the speck on a date stone. (4:122-124)

O My servants who have transgressed against your souls! Despair not of the Grace of God, for God forgives sins, all of them, for He is much forgiving, most merciful. (39:53) 

For those who worked righteousness in this world, a good reward. God's earth is spacious, and those who steadfastly persevere will receive their recompense generously, without limits. (39:10)

The Reality of Resurrection and the Reality of Accountability (Law of Recompense, Causality, The Final Balancing of Karma) are both sub-set of the Reality of Return. But the greater of the sub-sets is the Reality of Admittance to Absolute Presence or its Opposite, the Banishment from Divine Presence. This is greater because this is where the time is suspended or made non-existent, so this experience of Great Baqa, the Great Continual Abidance happens. And Allah knows the best of His Kingdom's Secrets and we can encompass nothing from His Knowledge except what He Wills.

Reality of Admittance to Absolute Presence or its Opposite, 
Absolute Absence

The Realities of Kingdom of God, inability of knowing, realizing or understanding of which causes Grand Deception and makes the spirit die of the death of ignorance and poverty of true knowledge.

And the blessed Teacher Jesus said, "Whoever discovers the interpretation of these teachings will not taste death. Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be perplexed. When they are perplexed, they will marvel, and will reign over all (contingent realities).

When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the Ever-Living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty (of real knowledge), and you are the poverty."  (Jesus in Gospel of Thomas)

Knowing and becoming aware of the Reality that facilitates into entering the Kingdom of God, into eternal life - is the Reality of Admittance to Eternal Abidance to Absolute Presence (Greater Baqa, or Permanence in God) or its opposite, which is the Banishment into Absolute Absence.

This is an Elegant Secret and words are far too inadequate to utter about these realities which are beyond the scope of language and mental conceptualization. This is the haqiqa of the highest meaning of the description of those who are brought Near (qarib) to God (muqarrabun). It is them whom God draws to Himself.

A Sufi Master said: The circumference (Mohit) of the circle, the space, where all Tariq (ways of people) motion around, and the center-point all potential Beingness, are inseparable and indeed are as one. Thus the nature of Beingness, which is the sanctified; holy court of It, clear; free from all multiplicity, "And Allah is that which Encompasses (Muhit) all things" (4:126).

Direction is a relative concept upon the circumference of the circle, no matter which direction the motion is taken; all strictly and inescapably upon the circumference, "To Allah belongs the east and the West: Whithersoever ye turn, there is the presence of Allah. For Allah is all-Pervading, all-Knowing" (2:115).

Hint is sufficient for seekers of truth, the people of deep knowledge. God Who encompass all things and Who is unchanging before time, is now as He was, so He will be. 

My punishment I inflict upon whom I will but My Rahmah (Mercy) embraces all things... (7:156)

A severe deception which tantamount to disbelieving in God, is the disbelief in the meeting with the Lord. This is as certain truth as our own existence and every being must meet their Maker. Those who are righteous shall meet God in His Good pleasure, in His Jamal (Beauty Divine) and God is Infinitely Compassionate. Those who are earns God’s displeasure through their persistent denial of the truth and disobeying the commandments and abusing the bestowed free-will, shall meet God’s Tremendous Face, His Wrath, in His Jalal (Divine Severity and Retribution) and God is Severe in Punishment and Swift in Reckoning.

Allah who is Encompassing all things, and His attributes are unchanging. The Divine being is He Who brings opposites together. Thus when the Kingdom of God comes, the nature of it is like this similitude: When the individual soul which is pleasing and well pleased with their Lord, is admitted into the Absolute Presence. This called Paradise, Garden, Bliss. When the Kingdom comes, the realities are manifest not in their relativity or in their shadow but in their Absolute, Ultimate Manifestation. God is the Supreme Being in Whom all Attributes are Hidden and Manifest in their Absolute.

Absolute Presence means all the Tenderly Merciful, Loving Attributes of God Manifest in their completeness. This is the immersion and total encompassment of His amazing Grace and Bliss, which is called by God as the ultimate success, the re-entry into the Garden of Eden, the Paradise.

The opposite of this reality, the opposite of Absolute Presence is the Denial, the Absolute Absence of the Mercy. That is the total encompassment with the opposite of tender mercy, love, compassion. That is the total encompassment of wrath, torment, suffering and terror. This reality manifests when the Absolute Mercy is Withdrawn. The withdrawal of God's Infinite Mercy is called the great suffering, hell fire, torment of fire. Both the Admittance and Banishment from Absolute Presence is a reality which shall be abiding. Then again, whosoever God Wills will forgive and admits into His Tender Mercy and He was power over all things. For the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory all belongs to God, now and for ever.

This is the significance why Christ when transmitting about the true reality of God's Kingdom, he mentioned the Kingdom is both inside of you and outside of you, because in reality the Kingdom shall be an All Encompassing Reality.

If your religious teachers say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father's) kingdom is within you and (also) it is outside you.

And the world and its desires are passing away, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. (John 2:17)

Nothing sees God and dies, even as nothing sees God and lives, because His life is everlasting, and he who sees Him, remains in Him and is made everlasting. ~ Abu Nuaym al-Isfahani

And We, the Divine Authority, are the ultimate inheritor (al-Warithun) (after all else passes away). (15:23)

All that exists on it (the earth) shall perish. but will abide forever the Presence (Wajh) of your Lord, in Majesty and Glory. (55:26,27)

He is now as He was. He is the One without oneness and the Single without singleness.. He is the very existence of the First and the very existence of the Last, and the very existence of the Outward and the very existence of the Inward. So there is no first nor last, nor outward nor inward, except Him. There is no other and there will be no existence other than He. - Ibn Arabi

Whoever has fallen into ocean of God's Oneness grows thirstier every day. His thirst will never be appeased because he has a thirst for truth and that is only quenched by the Real. And it is in that Reality of Returning to the Divine Beloved for those who have purified their existence from every other duality by testifying to: la ilaha illaAllah , there is no separate divinity but the Divine, would have their thirst for the Real quenched by the blessed return to the Real.

And Allah, the all-Knowign knows the best, and may He preserve the state of our hearts when we are in remembrance of Him and may He, the Most Generous, elevate those states to permanent stations for us. Indeed all permanency comes from Him and ultimately rests in Him.
