visitation of Sophia

Bimillahir Rahmanir Rahim

Wa-s-Samaai wat-tariq
wa maa adraka mat-tariq?
an najmuth thaqib.*

at the womb of the night
appeared she,
and whispered to me
to stand still.

still i became,
like the stillmost brightest star
at the farthest constellation.

putting her ear next to my heart
she listen to the whisperings inside.

Wa man lahu uzuzan fal yasma'a +
"Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear"

timelessly we hear the ever birthing whispers within.

then she bless me thus:
"may you have a blessed night. may you have sanctified dreams of all the saints and prophets, qutubs, gurus and masters of the ages, upon whom you send blessings and in return they send perfumed blessings from their exalted resting places."

then she invites me in the garden of dreams, where we walked among the night-blooming jasmine, watched the breeze loosen the petals of the luminous roses amidst the rose garden and sitting beside the pool of light, we let our love for Beauty Divine stream out into the night.
