Quranic meditation on the expansion of inner heart

In remembrance of Divine, the Universally Merciful, the Singuarly Compassionate One

. alam nashrah laka swadrak?

Have We not expanded for you, your inner heart? The Quran 94:1

(Royal Pronoun 'We' used in the Quran to identify the Divine, stands for the Divine Majesty and Royal Mystery of Being)

. faman yuridi ullahu an yahdiyahu yushrah swadrahu lil islam

... For whomsoever the Divine guides in straight path, his or her inner heart is expanded to divine surrender ... 6:125

. "Rabbi ushrah lee swadree"

"O my Lord! expand my heart for me" (prayer of Moses) ... 20:25

+ the expansion of the inner heart, according to Quranic commentators is its illumination and its vastness for the reception of what is revealed unto it. in other world, the expansion of inner heart also symbolizes special enlightenment.

the metaphorical term 'expansion of the inner most heart' points to its expansion with the Divine Light and bestowing with stillness and tranquility. the question of the opening chapter of Sura Inshirah (94) of Quran "Have We not expanded for you, your inner heart?" was not only a reminder to the Prophet himself, but in its universal meaning is also a reminder to call to gratitude and thanksgiving for all whose inner most heart is blessed with holy expansion. it reminds such expansion is a grace from the Beloved to make room in heart - the inner sanctuary to receive more Light. //
