The Gaza 'Holocaust' has begunWhat a shame, what an irony! The nation of Israel which is founded on the wound and being a victim of holocaust is continuously manifesting as a source of horrible holocaust of present day.
Friday, Israel's deputy defense minister, Matan Vilnai promised Gaza would experience a "Shoah," and today the Israeli Defense Forces made good the minister's promise, raining tank shells, rockets, bullets, and bombs into the walled enclave, home to as many as 1.5 million Palestinians.
"Shoah is the Hebrew word for Holocaust, adapted from its biblical definition, "calamity." Literally, as Wikipedia defines it, the term is derived from the Greek word holokauston, meaning completely burnt, as a sacrificial offering to God. The nongovernmental Palestinian Information Center issued a statement calling Vilnai's words "the first indirect admission by an Israeli official that what Israel is conducting against the Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip is a holocaust, albeit a slow-motion one." Palestinians have been the subject of a new holocaust since Israel came into being in 1948.
The Palestinian president has accused Israel of "international terrorism", saying its assault on Gaza constitutes "more than a holocaust". Israeli forces killed more than 61 people in the Gaza Strip on Saturday (March 1st, 2008) alone, the bloodiest day for Palestinians since an uprising against Israeli occupation began in 2000. Palestinian leaders called the killings a "genocide". More than 80 died since fighting surged on last Wednesday. At least a third of those killed have been children, according to medical sources in Gaza.
"It's very regrettable that what is happening is more than a holocaust," Abbas told reporters in Ramallah. "Children who are barely five-months old are being bombed by the Israeli army."> read details.
The rocket attack by Palestinian into Israel is not acceptable at all (i personally find that the most stupid, mindless act of terrorism by the Palestinian militants), but that doesn't give legitimacy to kill the seized people of Gaza indiscriminately by the Israeli force who occupy the land in an orchestrated grand theft. If Palestinians militant actions are act of terrorism, Israel's military action is even a larger, state sponsored terrorism. Gaza is the biggest prison in the world, nothing but a concentration camp. Irony of our present time is that the concentration camp is created in the name of claiming *PROMISED HOLY LAND* by making its indigenous people homeless and refuge on their own land. What a shame in the name of religion, in the name of God and in the name of God's favored people!
Shame on the very concept of *HOLY LAND* that needs to kill people with no respect for human life and dignity whatsoever. When you kill a single innocent people, there is no value to your going to synagogues or wearing religious dress or reading religious scripture.
How can you cover your hand with blood from infant and talk about a country where the founding principle is religious? What kind of morality is that? Is this what a country based on religious ideology about? What kind of religiosity is that? Can anyone tell the Israeli's that they are violating the law of Torah by mindlessly killing innocents children, civilians?
