As we find in the New Testament, Matthew 26:39, in the night just before Jesus was handed over to the Jewish Leaders for trial, Jesus prayed earnestly to God in a sumissive manner. There is great inspiration in that statement.
Going a little farther, Jesus prostrates (fell with his face to the ground) and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as You Will."
In his prayer, we find Jesus (peace and blessings of God be with him) as a humble being who teaches us how to submit to God. It is this same message of Submission which is the central theme of the Final Testament (Quran)'s teaching. The word, Islam means 'submission' and Muslim means 'he who submits'. It is interesting, unlike other religion which were named after a person or group of people {Buddhim based on Buddha himself, Christianity based on Jesus Christ, Jewish based on a Jews} Islam has its name derived from Divine Will of God which is to submit unto Him.

Islam calls every servant to submit to Him. A true lover of God emerges himself in the submission of God in such a degree that he loses himself in God.
Following are the verese on this theme in the Final Testament::
O you who believe! Enter into submission whole-heartedly (Quran 2.208 );
The Religion before God is submission to His Will: People who formerly received the Scripture differed only after knowledge came unto them, through envy of each other. But if any deny the Signs of God, God is swift at reckoning. (Quran 3.19);
If anyone desires a religion other than submission to God (Islam), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost all spiritual good (Quran 3.85).
