we are god with limitations

Human beings are in a sense 'god with limitations'. Probably this is what it means when in the Quran it is mentioned that God wanted to put successor (khalifa or vicegerent) on earth. As soon as God expressed that wish, angles expressed their opposition saying humans will shed blood and fight each other. Generally as we see in our world, we put vicegerent who are like us, vicegerent means someone appointed as ruler or authroity. That is why angles prostrated Adam in the beginning. There are a lot of similarities between God and humans. Like God, humans are independent, they like to take decision as God does (thru free will) and humans have personality. The limitations that are connected with humas are many. Many of the limitations are there in order for the system to work as the system work in earth. For example we need food, we need company which God doesn't need. But without the need for food, the whole creation would not work as it works now. Among many limitations there are some which came into being because of misuse of free will. If we can cut ourselves from the negetive limitations that are caused because of illusion, then surely we can be true successor of God, true image of God. That is the ultimate success for a man on personal level and for mankind as a whole. -Sadiq M. Alam
